Join Waterways Artist Charlotte Ashman for a weekend of Linocutting.
The 2-day workshop covers everything you need to know to begin making your own beautiful linocut prints. Each session will take place at RiverKnits, sited within the beautiful Royal Ordnance Depot, where participants can draw inspiration from the wonderful Georgian architecture.
The sessions cover; drawing for print, composition, mark making, transferring drawings to print, using a variety of gouges and how to choose appropriate tools, image problem solving, cutting lino, printing by hand, print problem solving, choosing materials for further work.
The workshop is specifically designed to be an in-depth taught session to give attendees a good grounding in the art form. You can take your time producing a quality piece of work and embed the methodology and thought processes required to create a well balanced print.
The session runs from 10-3 both days. Participants need to bring a packed lunch. Hot and cold drinks and cake will be available at no extra cost throughout the day.
All materials are provided, please wear suitable clothing for drawing and using ink or bring an apron or similar with you.
Booking & Cancellation Policy
Full payment is required at the time of booking. If you wish to cancel your booking and receive a full refund, you may do so up to 14 days before the date of the workshop. This gives us enough time to re-advertise and fill the empty space. If you need to cancel your booking at shorter notice, we will work with you to reschedule and book you onto a later workshop.
The ticket price is £120 including VAT. The ticket below displays the price ex-VAT and then VAT is added on at checkout.
