Linocut Taster Workshop with Charlotte Ashman

An opportunity to try linocut printing with Waterways Artist Charlotte Ashman.
In this session you will learn the basics of linocutting, including:
- Drawing direct to the block and transferring a drawing.
- Cutting various types of lino currently available to printmakers with specialist ‘gouges’.
- Printing onto paper and fabric.
- Using oil and water based ink.
This workshop is a ‘tour’ of the process of linocut printmaking. It is for those who would rather play and experiment with the medium, instead of undertaking a more in-depth learning process covered by the Beginners Linocut Workshop.
The prints you will be making will be suitable for greetings cards, repeat patterns or fabric patches. You can take your block home after the workshop to print as much as you wish.
Ages 12 and upwards.
If the 4th March date fills up, we will open up bookings for a second session on the 5th March.
Booking & Cancellation Policy
Full payment is required at the time of booking. If you wish to cancel your booking and receive a full refund, you may do so up to 14 days before the date of the workshop. This gives us enough time to re-advertise and fill the empty space. If you need to cancel your booking at shorter notice, we will work with you to reschedule and book you onto a later workshop.
The ticket price is £45 including VAT. The ticket below displays the price ex-VAT and then VAT is added on at checkout.
