  • Luminous Flux is the measure of the perceived level of light. With this high-vis hat, you will certainly be easily perceived! The bold graphic look is created with a textured colourwork technique that is half stranded knitting and half knit-purl patterning. Choose your style and knit either a slouchy hat or a beanie.

The hat has been designed to use our woollen spun Severn (Jacob wool) yarn. If choosing your own colours, try to select a light, medium, and dark shade to ensure that each one has enough contrast against the others.

Scroll down to add the pattern (printed and downloadable) and your yarn choice to the cart in one simple step. If you prefer to choose different colours, use the drop-down menus to change the selection. If you only want the pattern, you can get that here.

  • It's that time of year again, when Stephen West delights us with another magical Mystery Knit-Along (MKAL)!
We've put some of our fave colour combos together and popped them in bundles so you can grab the all the yarn you need for Twists and Turns in one easy step. You'll need to get the pattern directly from Westknits.

(We've made all the colourways available on backorder. We'll ship your yarn within a week of ordering.)

  • Prism is a colourwork yoke jumper with a geometric design, for fun colour-play with highly colourful marled or variegated yarns. • Singing Stones Knitting Pattern

    £4.20
Singing Stones are one of nature’s curiosities. These musical rocks are formed from molten lava that is subject to stresses and strains as it cools. The dancing rhythm of the mosaic pattern teamed with the multi-coloured marled yarn makes me think of music, hence, Singing Stones.

These fingerless mittens have been designed to work with our magically marled Chimera yarn and a complementing solid. The mosaic pattern is charted and very simple to follow. The colourwork is created by slipping stitches. What could be easier?!

  • Narrow Escape is a deceptively simple design that is easy to wear and fun to knit. The asymmetric wedges are perfect for playing with multiple colours or gradient sets and create a lot of visual interest in the finished item. They are created by working short rows and the clean, modern look is finished off with an i-cord bind off. Yarn needs will vary depending on how many colours you choose. A simple 2 colour version will take less than 100g of each colour, in 4 ply / fingering weight yarn.
  • Wavewalking Socks came about when I wanted to knit a simple cabled sock that would show up well in a hand dyed variegated yarn. Being a boat-dweller, the pattern reminded me that I am always walking on waves! Choose your own favourite hand dyed yarn and clothe your feet in cosy colours :-) The socks knit up quickly with the interest of the eyelet cable to keep you going. You can choose whether to have a plain cuff or make a feature of the eyelet ribbing. And the best thing is, the pattern is written toe up and top down, so you can make these no matter what your preferred method is!
  • Bobble Marley is a quick and fun hat, great for playing with multiple colours. It uses a set of 6 mini skeins, with two colours held together at all times to create a marbled effect. The leftovers are used to make a generously sized bobble.
