Craft Town is a stranded colourwork shawl with a statement fringe designed by Becci Pamely-Bast to celebrate the 15th year of the Unravel Festival in Farnham Maltings. She took her inspiration from the architecture in Farnham, which is England’s first World Craft Town and therefore an appropriate home for a yarn festival. There are many variations of the herringbone pattern that feature in brickwork, tiles, parquet flooring, and now in this shawl. The stranded knitting makes the fabric super warm and cosy.
The techniques used in this shawl include knitting in the round, 2-colour stranded knitting, and steeking. There is a detailed steeking tutorial included in the pattern.
