In this issue you can read an article by Becci – co-owner of RiverKnits! She recalls a rather memorable encounter with a stranger whilst navigating Manchester’s Rochdale waterways. It is illustrated by Sorrel Milne.
Fear Naut is a magazine conceived and created from start to finish by women and non-binary folk living on the waterways. The magazine is created around the submissions that are received and, once all the pieces are collated and designed, the magazine is printed at the boat woman owned risograph studio, Duplikat, in Hackney Wick.
We stand for the empowerment of women and non-binary folk, strong community, the freedom to live as you please and DIY. Boat womyn are creative, brave and independent. We have a wealth of creativity and experience with a unique and special view of the world and we want to share that with you. This is a magazine for people living on the water, for those interested in alternative ways of living – from creatives and dreamers, to activists and environmentalists and many more.
