The Village Haberdashery is a modern craft shop and class studio based in West Hampstead, London. The aim is to inspire everyone who walks through our door – or clicks onto their website – to make something amazing! They love to put a modern spin on traditional crafts and hand pick products with contemporary crafters in mind. Many of the products they stock are locally, independently and or sustainably produced and everything they offer is beautifully designed.
Annie Barker opened The Village Haberdashery online in February 2012 and the West Hampstead shop in December 2012. The bricks and mortar shop is beloved by makers and has become a travel destination for visitors from all over the world.
In early 2017, The Village Haberdashery moved its flagship shop to a bigger, brighter space to West Hampstead Square in the heart of West Hampstead’s business district.

ALL ABOUT THE YARN is located in the lovely town of Frome, Somerset. Situated on the historic Catherine Hill, an area full of interesting independent shops, we offer a selection of yarns that we love and want to share with the fibre community around us. We offer knitting and crochet courses throughout the year.
Northern Yarn is a small, independent wool shop based in Lancaster. We have our own yarn line that has been processed from local flocks of sheep and we have a strong focus on stocking locally sourced wool and products. We aim to support local farmers and businesses by promoting and stocking British wool.
Situated in Betws-y-coed within the Snowdonia National Park, we are a tiny (stable-sized) shop packed with our favourite natural yarns from our favourite independent producers, alongside our own range of Peruvian highland wool and alpaca yarns. We also stock a wide range of patterns and books from independent designers, as well as needles, hooks and notions. The rule is: if we don’t love to use it ourselves, we don’t stock it!
Stitches and Cream Falmouth is a small independent family run business that specialises in luxury and natural fibre yarns, also contemporary dressmaking fabric, notions, and crafts, They are based in their home county of Cornwall. The two sisters are passionate about offering the best British yarns and they work hard to support other small independent businesses like themselves wherever possible. Both keen knitters and sewers they use their knowledge to encourage others to join them. They have been building their stock of indie dyed and British yarns since they opened in 2019 and are always on the lookout for beautiful new products to add to their already brimming stock levels!
Woolfull is a family-owned yarn shop in the heart of the Derbyshire Peak District. Since their opening in 2017 they have expanded their range of yarn, patterns and accessories so much they moved to a much bigger, and fully accessible, shop in August 2020!
They now stock hand-dyed yarn from 13 dyers across the UK, in addition to a wide range of the best yarns from Europe and the US. They’re also the team behind Sheffield’s own yarn show, The Wool Monty.

Schnell war der Kontakt zu einigen Herstellern, die meinen Anforderungen entsprechen, geknüpft.Riverknits ist mein erster Lieferant mit großartigen Produkten, der meinen Vorstellungen entspricht. Ich freue mich sehr auf diese ZusammenarbeitIn den nächsten Jahren wird dem Online-Shop auch ein kleiner Wollladen folgen und ich hoffe auf tolle Workshops und Stricktreffen.
After 32 years, I needed a break from my job. My hobby (knitting) became more and more important to me. During this time I realized how difficult it is to buy high quality yarns. It is just as important for me as to work with wool that is free of mulsing. Since both are not so easy to get, I decided to sell high quality yarns online. I quickly made contact with a number of manufacturers who met my requirements. Riverknits is my first supplier of great products that meet my expectations. I’m very excited about this collaboration. In the next years a small wool shop will follow the online shop and I hope for great workshops and knitting meetings.
Die Wollklause legt Wert auf gute Qualitäten, GOTS zertifizierte Wolle, tolle Designs und freundliche Beratung.Ich finde, wenn man etwas strickt für sich oder Andere sollte das auch einen bleibenden Wert haben und eine spezielle Qualität haben. Daher gibt es fast keine synthetischen Fasern bei mir. Ausser bei Sockenwolle.
Einmal pro Monat möchten wir gerne offenes Stricken anbieten um Strickgeheimnisse auszutauschen, Fragen zu stellen, gemütlich die kalten Abende mit Handarbeiten zu verbringen.
Jeweils am Mittwoch Nachmittag gibt es einen Stricktreff. Bei Bedarf biete ich das gerne auch an einem Abend an.
